Last night, we played musical beds at our house. I started out in my bed, Sage on the futon mattress on the floor next to me, Selby in her bed, and Daddy on the couch (this is his choice, to sleep where he can keep his blankets and snore freely). Midway through the night - which was lit by a full moon - Daddy took my place next to Sage, who was now in my bed, while I joined Selby in hers after a long wakeful spell. A few hours later, Daddy fell asleep on the couch while comforting Sage, who wanted mommy. By daybreak, we were all back where we started, except for Sage, who was happily reunited with me, in my bed. So it's no wonder that, today especially, I am grateful for coffee.Jeff & I love flavored coffee, although we don't always agree on the flavor. So we have a system. We keep several flavors on hand and each day we have something different. Right now, choices include: Swiss Mocha Almond, Hazelnut, French Vanilla and Caramel Mocha. We try different combos of these flavors; Hazelnut-Vanilla is a fave! But if I want some exotic or seasonal brew, I am on my own. So this morning, after chugging a small cuppa joe at home and dropping off my bed-jumping girls, I stopped by a local coffee house for a cup of Pumpkin Spice coffee with a splash of milk. And the night's events drifted away in the steam...
Happy Friday.

aaaah, a girl after my own heart. please, when you are feeling especially indulgent, try the new gingersnap latte at starbucks, sans ginger sprinkles. if you get the ginger sprinkles, you inevitably forget about them until you are drinking one of the last tasty sips and are unpleasantly surprised by solid matter in your coffee, and no one wants that. so gingersnap latte, no ginger. mmmmmmmmm.
before i go to bed every night, i get excited thinking about my cup of morning joe.
