I Am Grateful For...Green Living (and Giveaways!)

17 :: Green Living (and Giveaways!)
Yesterday I spent most of my day at the 4th annual Efest, Florida's largest green living music & arts festival. Eco-friendly exhibits ranged from funky eco art and healthy healing arts to green landscape solutions and all-natural pet products. I spent a lot of time in the children's eco village and was delighted to find some goodies worth sharing! These dainty purses from Bossy Baby are made from vintage hankies & ribbons! They are part of the Bossy Baby Vintage Collection, which blends vintage pillowcases with vintage lace and ribbons for irresistible, recyclable children's wear. Tina Bossy has kindly donated one of these sweet 100% cotton purses for the very first Natural Nester Giveaway! If you'd like a chance to win it for a special sweetie in your life, leave a comment on this post.
More great natural and environmentally-friendly products for kids caught my eye at the Baby Moonflower booth. Mom proprietor Holly Riley has created a one-stop-shop for natural parenting enthusiasts. Baby carriers, cloth diapers, toys, clothes & more... I bought Sage a pair of Baby Legs and love them already. Want some too? Holly has donated a pair for our Natural Nester Giveaway today! Just leave a comment on this post for a chance to win.
This is a piece of eco art by event showcase artist Anita Wexler who recycles metals and found objects into colorful sculptures. Part of her totem series, this piece looks like a nest, so of course it caught my eye! I fell in love with these huggable lovies at the Artisan's World Marketplace exhibit. A non-profit retail outlet for fairly-traded goods from around the globe, these toys are hand-knitted by women in Kenya. Check out their website for hand-crafted gifts with global-reaching benefits.
Of course these are just a few of the great finds I discovered (all based in my own backyard) at this huge celebration of green & healthy living. Both educational & inspirational, Efest reminded me how thankful I am for our beautiful planet and all the people working to preserve and enhance it. I am grateful for green living!

(oh yes, and for giveaways too...remember, leave a comment for your chance to win a vintage hankie purse from Bossy Baby or a pair of Baby Legs from Baby Moonflower - two great ways to enjoy green living! I'll close the comments and announce the winner on Wednesday at 9 pm EST.)

I am a lurker, have been reading your blog for a fair few months now and have found your entries very inspiring!
We had an Eco Fest similar to yours here in Brisbane, Australia not so long ago - i think there is a growing interest in being 'aware' in general. Isn't it wonderful to see! Love your photos too by the way :)

Bossy Baby is AWESOME!!! I wish I could have been at the Efest but I live in Ohio....
Bossy Baby has become my staple baby gift to give. So soft, wonderfully organic, beautifully made.....
I intend on checking out out the other places you mentioned in your blog for the Efest. I am always looking to live a little greener....
