Remember way back in January, when we were all setting intentions for the New Year? Mine was simply a word - MINDFUL. Over the past several weeks, I have veered off the path a bit, forgetting to be mindful in my daily life.

This is easy to do, with all the challenges and stresses that creep into our lives, growing wild like weeds over and into what should be a clear path.

And then clarity returns, in a beam of sunshine, or the sweet grasp of a child's hand, and guides us back to our center. Reminding us to take the path of least resistance, to practice detachment and to honor our Buddha Nature within.

Showing us that right there, among all the weeds are the beautiful flowers of our lives. And this, my friends, is where we should set our sights.

Do you remember your New Year's resolution? Are you still on your path?

what a beautiful post. i have to go back and look for my own intention--too bad we didn't have the book then!
That was such a beautiful post. I love reading your blog. It is a blog I visit daily. You give us all inspriration and remind us daily of all the basic things in life that we take for granted. Namaste!
I love these crafts. I might have to do this one with DD this weekend. Thanks for sharing all that you do.
P.S. I might have left you a little bloggy award over at my blog. ;)
My intention for the year was for BALANCE.
Easier said than done for me!
beautiful. thank you my friend.
my intention word for this year is sustainable. (most significantly that i want to create a career and a family/work balance that is sustainable.)
i too have veered from the path (quite far at times) but i keep using the question "is this sustainable?" to help me reflect and get back on track.
thank you for this wonderful reminder.
