Renaissance

I thought I was done blogging. I've proclaimed many times over the past 4 weeks (since my last post) that A Natural Nester was shut down, most likely for good. I even confessed to my father just two days ago that I was a "recovering blogaholic." But then something happened. I woke up this morning with a burning desire to be back in this space. In terms of recovery, I guess you could say I've fallen off the wagon!

You see, there are things I want to write about and share. There are moments I want to chronicle. And there are friends I want to reconnect with. So I'm back, a bit tentatively, with a new perspective and an awful lot on my mind. It could be called a relapse, I suppose, but I think I'll call it a renaissance instead.

I think you are using this creative space in the healthiest way possible: allowing it to nurture you but not control you, taking a rest from it when it feels at all burdensome, returning when it feels right. After all, you are a writer at heart.

...and look, your last post was exactly one month ago. Is that a coincidence? Sounds like a healthy break to me!

I was just about to email you to make sure that you were OK. I am glad to have you back, although I totally understand the need to step away. I am looking forward to reading your words when you are here. Have a wonderful weekend

I have to admit I was surprised when I saw your update come into my email! Welcome back. I always love what you have to say, and will wait as long as it takes for you to write it.
