My girls are on spring break this week, so it seemed like the perfect time and season for them to start new nature journals. This morning, I spread out a quilt in the backyard, then piled it up with pencils, colored pencils, blank books, a camera, and a copy of
The Nature Connection, a great resource for nature journaling with children.
From there, they stayed at it for a couple of hours... observing, drawing, taking pictures, and then, eventually, digging and playing in the dirt. Yay!
