My final post is on the
Rhythm of the Home blog today, where I profess my love for
homemade watercolor pages. This simple, homemade craft has been such a hit at my house, it inspired a homemade "paint with water set" for a little friend's birthday gift last weekend. It turned out really sweet.
Our gift set contained nine watercolor pages, all with different color palettes, and a cover page showing off how it works. The girls had fun coming up with the combinations, including "hot" colors, "cool" colors, and a "sea & sand" inspired palette. A bundle of paint brushes accompanied the set.

Knowing our recipient was not only crafty, but a music lover too, we also gave her a paint-your-own CD case filled with copies of some of my gals' (and my) favorites, including
NO! by They Might Be Giants, and
Not for Kids Only by Jerry Garcia and David Grisman.
Two handmade birthday gifts, one happy birthday girl, and two gift-givers who learned it's fun to give from the heart!
